Who Can Apply?

1. Candidates passed 12^th Standard can apply SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026.
2. Candidates appeared in 12^th standard can also apply, However candidates possessed 12^th standard qualification on or before 07/10/2026.

Eligibility Criteria.

Age Limit:- Minimum:-

• Minimum 18 years.
• Maximum 27 years.

Education/Qualification:–

1. Data Entry Operator/ DEO Grade A in Ministry of Consumer Affair or Ministry of Food Ministry of Culture or Staff selection commission :- 12^th Passed in Science stream with Mathematics from recognized Board/Institute.
2. LDC/JSA or DEO Grade A:- 12^th passed from recognized Board/Institute.

Salary:- Selected candidates will receive salary and other benefits as per the applicable Pay Level and Government rules mentioned in the official notification.

• LDC ( Lower Division Clerks) & JSA (Junior Secretarial Assistant):-:- Pay Level-2, Rs. 19900-63200 per month.
• Data entry Operator Pay level 2:- Rs.25500-81100 per month.
• Data entry Operator Pay level 5:- Rs.29200-92300 per month.
• Data entry Operator Grade A Pay level 4:- Rs.25500-81100 per month.

• GEN/OBC/EWS Category candidates:- Rs.100

Selection Process:- The selection of candidates will be based on:

• Computer Based Test Tier-1 & Tier-2.
• Document Verification.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2026:-

SSC CHSL Tier-1 Exam Pattern:-

• Computer based test consist 4 sections.
• Tier-1 will be 100 Questions & 200 Marks.
• Time duration of Tier-1 will be 60 Minute.
• Their will be Negative marks ( 0.50) for wrong answers.
• The questions paper will be Hindi or English only.

SSC CHSL Tier -2 Exam Pattern:-

• Section-I:  Part A:- Mathematical Abilities  Part B:- Reasoning and General Intelligence.
• Section-II:  Part A: English Language and Comprehension Part B: General Awareness
• Section-III: Computer Knowledge Test.
• Section-IV: Skill Test/Typing Test.
• Candidates have to Qualify in all the sections of Tier-2.
• Their will be Negative Mark (1 Marks) for wrong answer.
• Skill Test/ Typing test will be qualifying Nature.

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Skill Test:-

Part A:-

1. Skill Test for the post of DEO or  DEO Grade ‘A‟ in Ministry of Consumer Affair or Ministry of Food Ministry of Culture or Staff selection commission:- The speed of 15000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer as per the given passage.
2. The time duration of the Test will be 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 3700-4000 key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer.

Part-B:-

1. Skill Test for the post of DEO/ DEO Grade A except in Department/ Ministry mentioned as per above Data Entry Speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer as per the given passage.
2. The duration of the Test will be 15 minutes and printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer.

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 Typing Test for LDC & JSA Post:-

• The typing test medium will be Hindi or English.
• Candidates who choose typing test in English, should have typing speed 35 w.p.m.
• Candidates who choose typing test in Hindi, should have typing speed 30 w.p.m. correspond to about 10500 key depressions per hour and about 9000 key depressions per hour respectively.
• The typing speed on the computer will be 10 minute of the given text passage.

Final Merit:-

• Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only. Merit List will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored in Section-I & Section-II of Tier-II examination only subject to qualifying Section-III and Section-IV of Tier-II as per the qualifying standards fixed by the Commission.
• The final allotment of posts is made on the basis of merit-cum-preferences of Posts/ Departments given by the candidates.

Post Preference:- Candidates have to given post preference while filling online application form. Post preference once submitted shall be treated as final and will not be changed. Therefore candidates must be careful while given post preference.
