RRB Group D Syllabus 2025:- Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group D exam is conducted to recruit candidates for various Level posts in the Indian Railways. It is one of the most competitive exams, with Lakhs of aspirants applying for a limited number of vacancies. To succeed, candidates must thoroughly understand the exam pattern, syllabus, and effective preparation strategy. Here We are giving brief information regarding RRB Group D Exam Syllabus, Pattern, Preparation Strategy.
RRB Group D Exam Pattern:-
The selection process for RRB Group D consists of four stages:-
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
This is the first and most crucial stage. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is conducted online.
- Total Questions: 100
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PWD candidates)
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Subjects Covered: Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, General Awareness & Current Affairs

Candidates are qualifying in CBT will call for PET.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who clear the CBT are shortlisted for the PET, which tests their physical fitness.
- Male Candidates: Must lift and carry 35 kg weightfor100 meters in 2 minutes and run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds.
- Female Candidates: Must lift andcarry20 kg weightfor100 meters in 2 minutes and run1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
3. Document Verification (DV)
Shortlisted candidates after PET must provide their original documents for verification.
4. Medical Examination
Candidates must meet the medical standards required for the respective posts.

How to Prepare for RRB Group D Exam
1. Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus
- Go through the detailed syllabus and previous year’s question papers.
- Focus on high-weight age topics first.
2. Create a Study Plan
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals to cover all subjects.
- Allocate more time to weak subjects and revise daily.

5. Time Management & Speed Improvement
- Solve easy questions first and mark difficult ones for later.
